ZenMate VPN Review

December 30, 2021 odmin 0 Comments

ZenMate is a robust VPN specially designed for non-tech-savvy users. Its military-level encryption capability offers foolproof security for all types of internet connections.

This tool allows you to unblock restricted content based on geographical locations. For instance, its extensive servers network – more than 4000 servers in 80+ countries – helps you in streaming different platforms like Netflix and Disney+.

In this review, we will cover all aspects of ZenMate VPN including its features set, pros and cons, and much more. Before going with this tool, read the entire review completely…

Connection Speed of ZenMate VPN

Speed is one of the most important factors to consider before purchasing any VPN. ZenMate VPN performed very well in speed tests conducted on speed testing sites. Its connection speed reached up to 115 to 120 Mbps during different test sessions. However, this speed reached up to 200 Mbps on American connections and it was consistent.

Therefore, this speed is impressive and more than enough to stream video and download torrents. At this speed, you can easily watch movies on different video streaming sites like Netflix.

Security and Privacy of ZenMate

The majority of people use VPN for security and privacy purposes. ZenMate VPN is phenomenal in security and protecting your privacy. It encrypts your data using military-level 256-bit security standards to protect your data. Using its P2P connections, you can easily and safely download torrents files.

ZenMate protects your privacy by acting upon no-logs privacy. According to this policy, it doesn’t monitor or maintain the record of your sensitive data. Your data record includes browsing history, traffic destination, data content, and DNS queries, etc.

This tool also comes with a stealth connection feature. This feature allows you to erase your all browsing history such as history and cookies. In addition to this, you can block any specific website to further enhance your security.

ZenMate Customer Support

If you are facing any problems when using the tool, you will contact customer support for help. Right? If you don’t get any response for several hours, would you like it? Definitely no. That’s why customer support is another important aspect to buy or reject an app. Customer support of ZenMate is not up to the mark.

For instance, support articles lead you to error messages so you can’t resolve your most problems reading those guides. Similarly, if you contact support members, you will get a response too late. Therefore, we don’t rate its customer support very high. However, their team is very polite and eager to resolve your problems.

Ease of Use

There is no rocket science using in browser extensions because you have most probably already used plenty of them. Besides, mobile apps are also very user-friendly and easy to use. A person with no technical skills can also use it smoothly.

Setting up a new connection with servers in any country takes no time. Plus, you can switch between different servers by only tapping on it. We give 5-star ratings to this app out of 5 for ease of use.

Pros and Cons of ZenMate VPN Review

Below are some upsides and downsides of ZenMate Review:

  • ZenMate VPN acts upon no-logs policy i.e. it doesn’t monitor your online activity.
  • This tool is available for all renowned operating systems like Windows, MAC, iOS, and Android.
  • Its extensions are also available for all major browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
  • You can protect your multiple devices with only one subscription.
  • 80+ countries are available to set up a secure and anonymous connection.
  • It’s extremely easy to use for non-tech-savvy users.
  • This VPN doesn’t only provide a 7-day free trial but also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

  • ZenMate VPN comes with limited features.
  • It has limited payment options are available to buy this tool i.e. PayPal and Credit Card.
  • The app creates problems when unblocking BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime Video.
  • It uses scarce tunneling protocols.

ZenMate VPN Pricing Plan

ZenMate VPN comes in two different categories: browsers’ extensions and mobile apps. That’s why the pricing plan of the tool has been designed based on these categories.

The first plan is Free that includes only browser extensions. It means you can only secure your browsers’ surfing data. However, its free plan comes with limited features such as limited connections speed and limited countries. Further, a free account will work for only one device. Remember free plan doesn’t offer much safety and security.

In the second plan, only extensions for major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge will be available. However, in this plan, you can utilize all available features except P2P support and Open VPN. It costs only $7.99 per month if you buy a monthly subscription. However, you can get good discount yearly plans. For instance, you will have to pay only $19.14 for a 6-Month plan and $23.88 for a 1-year plan.

Further, the third plan is Ultimate which includes all types of platforms i.e. extensions, devices, and streaming sites like Netflix and BBC iPlayer. Under this plan, you will have full control of the app. You will also get P2P support and Open VPN services in this option. If you go with this plan, you will have to pay $10.99 per month for the monthly subscription option. You can save up to 59% i.e. $53.88 per year if you purchase its 1 Year plan. With the 3 Years plan, your bill will be around $59, charging you only $1.51 per month.

Wrapping Up

It uses a bit old security measures to secure its connection but still, connections are almost impossible to breach. Further, connection stability and connection speed are awesome.

However, we found some glitches in unblocking streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video and BBC iPlayer. Though ZenMate doesn’t offer any unique features than its competitors, it is one of the cheapest VPNs available in the market.

We didn’t find any other VPN that offers to secure all devices using one subscription. Therefore, protecting all your gadgets with only $59 for 3 years won’t be a big deal!
